Unmarried

Brahmacharya

Use D-1, D-9 and
Rasi Thulya Navamsa

In simple steps, one can check his or her own horoscope for having a Brahmacharya yoga. This yoga means having a denial of marriage, remaining unmarried, bachelor etc.

If 7th (house or lord) gets connected to 5th or 9th - in all the above, Brahmacharya yoga is formed. The native remains unmarried / no marriage yoga / denial of marriage.

However, the Darakaraka shall be in Ketu / Sun / Mars / Jupiter nakshatras. Like Punarvasu is a Jupiter nakshatra.

If D-1 chart if the Badhaka lord is in 12th house, getting married is difficult. However, check other conditions.

More the conditions match, more is the possibility of not getting married.

How to Check

D-1

7th house – 5th lord or 9th lord placed here. (or)

7th lord – placed in 5th or 9th. (or)

7th lord conjoined 5th lord or 9th. (or)

5th lord and 9th lord both placed in 1st and aspecting 7th.  (or)

Venus conjoined Sun / Jupiter closely in less than 3 degrees. That means natural 7th lord conjoined natural 5th lord or 9th lord in single navamsa. If this happens, check for same combo in D-9 also.

D-9

7th house – 5th lord or 9th lord placed here. (or)

7th lord – placed in 5th or 9th. (or)

7th lord conjoined 5th lord or 9th. (or)

5th lord and 9th lord both placed in 1st and aspecting 7th.

Rasi Thulya Navamsa

Ignore D-9 Lagna,  Use the lagna of D-1, while using D-9 chart – This is called as Rasi Thulya Navamsa. Use the same rules as mentioned above in D-9.

Dara Karaka (DK)

Check for the Nakshatra lord of the DaraKaraka (by vimsottari system, Viz Ashwini – Ketu, Bharani- Venus, Krittika -Sun etc).

For Brahmacharya, Darakaraka will be in Ketu or Sun or Mars or Jupiter nakshatra.

Don’t be confused here. DK can be any planet from Sun to Rahu – this does not cause Brahmacharya. However, Check the nakshatra of the planet that becomes the DK.

Please note, all the above 4 rules must be satisfied for Brahmacharya Yoga. It should match in D-1, D-9, Rasi Thulya and also DK.

Check D-9

1st lord – for willingness to marry or remain married.

4th lord – happiness from staying married.

In addition to the above, Check D-9, you will find that

a) 1st / 4th houses are afflicted or

b) 1 / 4 Lords are badly placed in 6,8,12 or debilitated and / or afflicted by Ketu, Saturn, Mars etc.

Check D-1

Check Nakshatras of 1 and 7:

a) Their Cusps

b) Lords

c) Dispositors

Usually they fall in Uttarashada (no yoni animal match for mongoose), Dhanishta (Bheeshma), Ashwini (twins unmarried), Bharani (Yama unmarried), Purvabhadra (Ganesha unmarried), Uttarabhadra etc., for Brahmacharya.

Sometimes, everything seems right here. But, check for the badhaka lord – he will be in 12th house or very close in degrees to 12th lord.
